Autumn River Reverie - Oil on Canvas - 9 x 12
This painting was inspired from a hike along the Cascade Stream Gorge in Rangeley, Maine. It was a perfect fall day where the sky was blue, the air was crisp, and the sun felt warm and comforting. The trail was beautiful as it wound its way around several rushing waterfalls. As I went farther along up the trail, I discovered a perfect spot to observe the sunlight gleaming on the water against a backdrop of autumn colors. While my kids played in a calm pool of water, I sat on a rock in the middle of the river and watched the water gain speed as it navigated around these large boulders before descending. It was a place of daydreams and it is still the first moment that comes to mind when I think of a perfect autumn day.
